This page is under construction...and I am learning HTML very
slowly. Please, be patient!
Welcome!
This is personal webpage of Suzanne Smedberg,
occasional high school Physics teacher and full time mommy. I am
the mother of two baby girls,
Eleanor
(born June 15th, 2004) and
Claire
(due May 5th, 2005). Due to my impending double mommyhood, I recently
quit my job at
Archbishop
Carroll High School, a college preparatory, catholic high school in
the District of Columbia. Carroll is the only high school in the
Archdiocese of Washington, DC, and the first school to take national
vouchers for school choice as part of No Child Left Behind. For
teaching resources, see the education link above.
I graduated with a POE in Physics, History and
Education from
Juniata College -
the greatest liberal arts college in all the world. While there,
I attended the APS/AAPT Centennial Meeting in Atlanta, GA and presented
a paper on Finding Planck's Constant using Light Emitting Diodes,
research done with Dr. Jamie White, professor of Physics. For
more physics info, please see the physics link above.
My husband
Benjamin
is a programmer for the Mozdev group, inc., a company that provides
custom software based on the Mozilla code base. He was also an
integral part of the development of
Firefox,
a smart browser solution to the flawed Internet Explorer.
